Statement

Diverse, practical and unique, "Scrapbags" are handmade handbags stitched together with ribbons and finished with a fabric lining.

Collectie

For DESIGNERS-FASHION we have included our latest collection based on the Dutch Golden Age. It is a tribute to Amsterdam, the city in which we are based and that we love dearly. It consists of a tote, a handbag and a clutch which create the image of an Amsterdam canal house when stacked on top of each other. In the windows can be seen images from famous paintings found in the Rijks Museum. Though they are striking when seen collectively they also stand individually as chic, wearable accessories for every day.

Achtergrond

“Scrapheap” started when I was thirteen, making handbags from scraps and ribbons found around the house. Over the past six years we have developed and refined this product into the eye-catching and hardwearing designs you see today. We have named the business “Scrapheap” because of our method of using materials (old magazines, flyers, stamps etc.) that would otherwise be discarded. We love to recycle what others have “scrapped”.
